Samer serves as our Vice Chairman and is a shareholder in Alcazar.
Prior to joining Alcazar, Samer held various leading positions in the banking industry with a focus on wealth management and private equity. Samer’s banking career started in 1985 with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co in New York and then in 1987 moved on to Arab Bank Plc where he served on the bank’s Strategic Committee. He covered several geographies, working in Jordan, Singapore and the UAE. Samer held the position of CEO of Dubai International Capital Asset Management from 2007 to 2010, then joined at Morgan Stanley for four years as Executive Director in Wealth Management, where he built an asset base of $700 million.
Samer also served on the Board of several funds and companies during his career including the Arab Bank Funds, AB European Real Estate Funds, Daman Quattro DIFC and Dubai Contracting Company.
Samer completed an Executive Management Program at Harvard University in 1999 and holds a Bachelors Degree in Management and Finance from South Eastern Louisiana University. He completed his High School Diploma at Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge Louisiana.
Charbel serves as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is a shareholder in Alcazar.
Prior to Alcazar, Charbel spent six years at Agility Logistics and was President and CEO of Agility’s Investments, where he had direct responsibility for all M&A and investment activities of the group, as well as the management and development of a $1bn Industrial Real Estate portfolio. Prior to Investments, he was the Managing Director responsible for Global Operations where he successfully lead the growth of Agility from a regional service provider to a global leader in integrated logistics services now operating in 100 countries with 450 offices serving over 30,000 clients. Charbel served on the Agility Management Board and its Investment Committee, and was instrumental in the development of Agility’s offering and the acquisition of a number of key accounts.
Prior to Agility he spent over 16 years in the United States in leadership roles at global organizations, first at ABB then at EXE Technologies.
Charbel holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the American University of Beirut and a Masters from the University of Michigan.
